Location: Robe is 350kms south east of Adelaide and is an easy 3.5 to 4 hour drive via the Princes Highway. Approximately 585 kms from Melbourne via Geelong or Ballarat will take 6.5 to 7 hours.
Population: Our little seaside town boasts a population of more than 1400 people but can easily reach as many as 12,000 over peak summer.
Climate: Robe has a temperate climate with an average maximum summer temperature of 25 deg celcius, while the average winter maximum is around 14 deg celcius.
Long Beach offers safe swimming for all ages. Moderate surf breaks off 3rd ramp where you can boogie board, long board or wind surf in the right conditions. In the summer months the sand is hard enough to allow cars to drive right up the beach as far as Boatswains Point.
Stony Rise ocean beach is where the famous Easter Classic surf competion is held every Easter.
